Law & Stu's Honeymoon Adventure
We did it... We stared FEAR straight in the eye and jumped out of a plane at 12000 feet! It was the most surreal thing we have EVER done, I cant describe the feeling as you fall out of the plane and free fall for 45 seconds (which went to fast yet so slow!).
We arrived in Queenstown on Sunday following 2 fab days in. When we arrived we decided to go to the skydive place to enquire... they said they had a slot at 2.30pm that day so we thought what the hell lets do it! A few stressful hours past and we went back to the place only to find that (as the wind had picked up) the dive was cancelled! We booked in for the following day but again twice that day it was cancelled... was this a sign! Okay so last chance..... we decided to book in for 11.30am on Tuesday.
We woke that morning to bright blue sky and not a whisper of any wind (oh no, today's the day).. after 3 failed attempts are nerves were shot. Anyway to cut along story short we manged to do the jump and it was unreal, Stu (who's scared on flying & heights) wants to do another one in Oz... I however am still recovering from the first!
That evening we started drinking at 4pm to calm our nerves and celebrate our success. We met up with Tony & Heather who wed met the other day and went on a drinking session around the town. Popped into the Ice Bar for a cocktail and shot and then ended up in the Backpackers club till gone 3am - we were WASTED.
Next morning not so good! Drove to Lake Tekapo which is breathtaking... the water is glazier fed and was bright turquoise in colour. Stayed there the night (again with Tony & Heather) on a lovely campsite right on the lake front. yesterday was glorious weather so we stayed by the lake and topped up the tan... first time in ages as we've been so busy. That night we headed into Christchurch which is where we are now. Not sure what our last few days in NZ will bring but we'll keep you updated. We've having the time of our lives and loving every second of every day. Hope your all okay back home. Miss ya x
