Law & Stu's Honeymoon Adventure
Four seasons in one day - thats what they say and thats what weve had! Since Monday its been a real mixed bag of sun and showers. Thursday it rained all day so what else to do on a rainy day than take a 5 hour trek up the side of a glacier! Yeap thats right, we climb Franz Josef and it was (as they say over hear) awesome! Okay so what else have we been up to... well we have spent loads of time driving (boo, although the scenery here is awesome!). We also spent some quality time in Wellington doing the touristy things (cable car, museum, bars!) - a massive thanks to Vicky, Steve a Jacob for their kiwi hospitality - had my first taste of New Zeland lamb (yum yum), plan to try the blue cod very soon. On Tuesday we caught the ferry to the South Island and headed straight for Nelson. Next day we drove through Westport and literally stumbled across NZ's longest rope swing bridge - it was wicked, scary (just like the ones in Im a celebrity). That evening we stayed in Hokitika and went to the Glow Worm Dell - thousands of tiny glow worms which looked like stars in the sky. Thursday was the glacier climb and today we have reached Wanaka, not to be mistaken with Wan..... (you know the rest!). Anyway its a lovely little town set on the lake, really pretty. Tomorrow we head to Queenstown and plan to stay a few days there as we feel a need to settle for a bit! Will keep you posted x
