Well we're sat in Abu Dhabi airport, after finding out that Burger King is neither tastier nor cheaper than back in England. Victoria was suffering a bit from travel sickness, even after tablets, but food seems to sort it out. So glad that's not me, I love pretending to read in cars just to annoy the seemingly vast majority who can't.
Anywho, 24 hours of being awake is starting to take it's toll. We were quite lucky in that we had 3 seats between the 2 of us last flight so we could spread out but we're gonna go on a mish on the next flight and try get 4 seats as well as any we get anyway.
We've also already had a few odd moments. Everytime you choose something new to watch on TV, this really weird advert for a drink called "Pocari Sweat", yes really, is shown. It claims to be the answer to your flight hydration needs, and is extremely close to your body fluids for quick absorption. Hmmm I'd rather dehydrate to be honest.
Also I have never seen a place like this, it's as flat as a pancake, and a very similar colour too. It's just the vast desert with lonely looking roads that go on and on and on and on... I swear one must have been like 100 miles long with no roads leading off it.
Finally AMG they have Mountain Dew here! Though I'm resisting the temptation, it's like £1.50 a can, jebus it's cheaper to import it from America.
And like always, there's a Japanese guy taking pictures of him and his friends, and seats and food stands. Weird.
Next stop Sydney, only 15 hours to go!
I shall end the 1st entry with the age old rain saying: The rain in Spain falls mainly in Australia ( or so it seems at the moment).
