Our Valentine's Day was mostly spent on a bus, but luckily it was one of the best bus journeys we have had so far!
Us and the other couple were picked up at half 8 and headed to the bus station after picking up some other people.
Here we were given our tickets and a bag with water and a snack! The bus was a big VIP double decker with comfy seats and quite a bit of leg room. We settled in and left the station at the time we were supposed to! It was a bit of a slow start with lots of little stops but once we got going it went pretty quick. We had been told it would take 7 hours and we actually made it in 6 and a half! It dropped us at the bus station on the outskirts so we got a ride into the centre and walked the short distance to the place we had booked to stay. I had booked an 8 bed dorm but for tonight they put us in a 4 bed with a really nice couple.
After a shower we went out for a wander and made it to the riverfront where there was this massive market! I could have spent so much money! I did pick up a jumper as it has got colder in the evenings and Vietnam is supposed to be quite cold as well. We have found somewhere for the rest of the evening to have some food and wait for the England rugby game. Not the most romantic Valentine's Day but it has still been not a bad day considering the travel time!
