We visited the British Museum this morning which has so much to see that you'd need much more than one day - which makes it a good thing that entry is free. Today was our first full day in London and we started it off with some great sites! Today we went to Westminster Abbey which was even better inside than we'd imagined! We were truly wowed by it's magnificence: immaculate and intricate stained glass windows and beautiful plaques, statues and tributes to so many people. Finally we've made it to London and we can't believe we've been traveling for an entire month already - it really has gone so fast! We'd heard mixed stories about London so weren't sure how we would find it. On arriving in Bath yesterday we instantly loved it! We like it so much that we cancelled our first night in London to stay here longer! That the entire city is stunning is definitely down to the Bath stone that adorns every building, the Palladian and Georgian architecture, and the beautiful hilly surrounds. Two nights ago we arrived in Cardiff. The hostel is so nice and one can easily see why it is considered the UK's best hostel. Best of all it is another small hostel so the atmosphere is very friendly and everyone talks to one another. We met a lovely mother and daughter from north of London who we hope to meet up with again later in the week when in London.
