My welcome to the area wasn't great. The Litochoro 'bus stop' is in fact the slip lane to the Litochoro exit from the Freeway! Yesterday we made our way to Vienna. On the way we stopped in the town of Mondsee which not only houses the church used for Maria's marriage scene in the Sound of Music but also houses the amazing cafe Braun. The church was beautiful but the highlight was definitely the best ever apple strudel that I shared with Clare and Claire - one with ice cream and one with a vanilla sauce - yum! Yesterday afternoon we arrived in the picture perfect Salzburg. We had an amazing three-course group dinner that consisted of sauerkraut, succulent roast pork and veggies, and then a decadent chocolate cake (Sachertorte) with apricot jam in between, thick icing and of course cream! After a chaotic morning getting to the Bus Terminal I managed to eventually get onto the bus for Delphi! The bus ride was pretty good as bus rides go.
