Today me and Liz went to on our winery tour. After an eventful morning our hostel had a mad gun man in! We woke up early to get our breakfast ready for a full day of wine tasting. When we were pushed outside our hostel as some random weirdo staying there had a gun and was showing it to people. So Australian SWAT team arrived at our hostel. Any way we left as we had to get to our mini bus to be picked up for our wine tasting tour. It was a really fun day one of the best trips we've done in Australia. May be a bit biased as there was lots of alcohol included. We visited four vineyards. First was De Bortoli Wines and sampled lets just say a few of there wines red, white and sparkilng! After our first stop everyone a bit merry at drinking this amount of wine around 11 o'clock. We stopped at Train Trak cellar door sampled some chardonay, a couple of shiraz and rose. Then for our gourmet lunch i think this was the best meal so far we've had in Australia. A whole large glass of chardonay with anti pasta, stone baked pizzas and mochas to finish whilst looking out at the beautiful scenery. We stoped at Yering station a few more glasses of there wines then onto our final stop Domaine Chandon where sparkling wine is produced here we got a free whole glass of our favourite sparkling wine after learning how its made there. Yes we did learn some thing apart from drinking on the trip.
