I wasn't able to get a decent photo of a Dantorini vineyard, because our taxi driver was speeding so fast! But on Santorini, the grape vines are grown low on the ground in spirals (circular formation). This is because the winds are so strong that the grapes would get damaged otherwise. The bunches of grapes are grown on the inside of the ring of vine for protection.
