so we got a 6hr bus journey to Dali in which we watched 'cradle to the grave' movie dubbed in chinese and Andy taught me about clouds - science is fun!the scenery was stunning on the way.. the sky was soo blue and clouds so low, i wanted to reach up and touch them. stopped in service station for peeing- wish we hadnt. it was a discusting 1star. dont think weve explained the star system to you yet.... no star- chinese style squat with no door! flys buzzing.. poo...

Woke up to another of Patricks amazing egg sandwiches (egg seems to be a main part of the meals here, they use it in everything). After an amazing power shower and a breakfast of sponge we were off on the bus again This time to Leshan to see the Grand Buddha. Its situated on the edge of a river built in a groove in the cliff. We got there and were suprised to see the amount of tourists that were there but i guess as its now the biggest Buddha in the world, its going to be a big tourist attraction. Ok another awful overnight train that consisted of way to much noise from the locals and a very ill feeling of motion sickness. We arrived in Chengdu at 5.30am to a welcoming sight of rain.
