Today we decided to visit LA Ink to see if we could spot Kat Von D and also maybe buy some merchandise. We walked all the way there which was c ool as we found some luggage shops on the way. We have decided we need to buy another small case each as we just have to much stuff. Typical women we know :)

When we got to LA Ink they were filming but the guy let us inside as we wanted to buy stuff. There was a camera crew there and Corey was sat down tattooing. That was cool. We bought some tee shirts and then hung around watching. Kat Von D came out and they filmed her talking to this guy and girl, who were obviously well known people on the LA scene. Kat was doing the girls tattoo. The filming came across as completely fake which was weird. Like Kat seemed really moody and quiet and as soon as the cameras were rolling she was super happy and huggy. Also she is sooo thin now. Maybe she got thin and the lack of food is making her moody? Who knows! They also only did one take of everything they filmed so that must be the version they use on tv. We might be in the background of some of the filming as the camera crew had us in the background as we were looking at the tattoo books. Cool beans :)

As i already had ideas jotted down of some Kanji writing I wanted to get done on my ankle as a travelling reminder, Laura took it up to the counter and Adrian, the assistant from the show, said she would find out about it. We were arguing for about 10mins before as Adrian is a little scary and intimidating so I didnt want to go up :) but she is really nice.

I decided after some a bit of encouragement from Laura (a lot!) to get it done. I am a complete wuss when it comes to pain so I was freaking out. Had to wait a few hours so we looked around at netbooks as I really wanted to get one if they were cheap enough.

Went back to the shop and Adam would be doing my tattoo. He was so lovely but looked more like an IT specialist rather than a tattooist. Lets just say it hurt a bit or more like A LOT. For some reason I forgot the ankle was a slightly boney area! but yay i was really happy with how it looked.

then we rushed to the shop to buy a netbook. What an expensive day! Budget hardcore from now on. We then realised it was quite dark so had to run up La Brea to Hollywood in search of a bus, grasping the netbook, hoping we wouldnt get mugged! Good times!
