After breakfast we headed back in to town to see if we could book the glacier walk, when we got in to the booking office there was loads of other people in there which we assumed were waiting to set off on their trip. When we said what we wanted to book it turned out that everyone was waiting to hear whether the helicopters would be flying today. We hung around for a short while before someone came in and said that they wouldn't be flying today as it was too windy! We were quite disappointed as we were really looking forward to it. We set off to go to the viewpoint and we didn't think it was windy at all, that is until we were walking through the riverbed to get to the viewpoint and it was really windy so it must have been much worse upon the glacier!! Although it was cool seeing the glacier, it was really far away, much further away than when Adam came before he said! We took some snaps and then headed back to the camper, we went back to the same cafe as yesterday for lunch rather than making something as it was so nice and then we headed off towards Queenstown. Sunshine had told us about a place called Wanaka which is just before you get to Queenstown and she said that you can do pretty much everything you can do in Queenstown there but cheaper. As it was getting dark we decided to stay the night in Wanaka and head to Queenstown tomorrow. Driving through the centre there was quite a few pubs, all of which looked busy, especially for a Monday night! We checked it at the campsite, got ready and headed back in to town for a few drinks. The taxi driver took us to a bar called Water Bar which he said is really popular and it was the busiest one we drove past on the way to the campsite! When we got in there it was quieter than when we'd driven past but still busy enough! We got some drinks and sat at the bar talking to a lad behind the bar from Manchester called Sam. He was really nice and kept saying how much he used to love going to Eureka when he was a kid!! He was also telling us how the bar was refurbished a few months back and it's just been crazily busy ever since. The previous Saturday he said that they took $25,000 behind the bar!! They have happy hour 5-7 everyday which is two for one, just in time for all the après ski crowd coming back from the slopes! He was telling us how good skiing is and that we should check it out, he kind of convinced us to try it but we both wanted to do snowboarding! When we got back to the camper I had a look at a few different ski resorts and chose one in between Wanaka and Queenstown, they had a booking office in both towns so we said we'd go check it out in the morning.
