Hi everyone!
I'm sorry that I haven't blogged! This past weekend, we went to Madrid. But the truth is that Madrid isn't impressive.I was disappointed by the buildings and the city. But I saw the Royal Palace (it had ceramic rooms!!! Yes, the entire room was covered with some sort of ceramic decoration, whether it was the wall or the furniture!) and this building was the best.We went to the Prado and the Reina Sofia museums and I saw the famous Guernica by Picasso.Sunday, there was a soccer game for the EuroCup 2008, and Spain won!My roommates were at the Plaza Colon, but I decided to stay here in Toledo.
Other news: This Wednesday, I met with my conversation exchange, Silvia. She is very nice and likes to talk a lot.She has a husband and is an engineer of streets and bridges. She seems very intelligent.
Also in my Art class, we visited 2 sites this week, San Juan of the kings, a convent together with a church and Hospital de Santa Cruz, a hospital that was converted into a museum. They were pretty and bother had gardens in a patio in the center.Tomorrow we are going to Escorial, a monastery near Madrid and Saturday we are going to Salamanca. Then, Sunday, we are finally going to the bullfight!
Todo mi amor,
<3
