Magnetic Island is an island off the coast of Townsville, a couple for hours south of Cairns. Our sailing trip of the Whitsunday Islands was for 2 days and 2 nights, which basically meant one full day and two halves. We booked it through the same tour as our Fraser Island trip - Koalas. We left Agnes Water/Town of 1770 in the evening and it was a long journey to Airlie Beach. The total bus trip was 10 hours, our longest since Melbourne to Sydney, and we decided to take the night bus. I forgot that this wasn't such a good idea!
