Dur. Rebecca's just reminded me about Hot Water Beach. Top of South Island I think. Another must-do. Great fun.
And that Thames peninsula place on the North Island - absolutely fab little hostels, cheap and atmospheric and scenic.
Car hire's cheap too.
And think on this: in London it's dark, cold, ugly, chucking it down with rain, blowing a gale, the most interesting thing that's happened in the news is what dipstick nonentities have been saying in the Celeb Big Brother House. And beer is three quid a pint. Compare that with En Zed!

Right girls, about time you got off your arses and did something, specifically:
* skydive (Taupo is a good place, over the lake)
* bungee jump (naff but has to be done; can do everywhere? Queenstown?)
* long distance (ie 3-4 day) walk (Milford is good but hard to get on, and lots of other walks are just as scenic - the Kepler in Te Anau is stunning, and the Queen Charlotte is wonderful too)
* visit a winery (Marlborough - ace whites!)
* kayaking (Abel Tasman)
* one of the world's most scenic railway journeys, the Taieri Gorge down by Dunedin
* Rotorua's bubbling mud pools and steaming vents - touristy but fun
* hang out in Queenstown for a few days
* get up to the tropical stuff far north in Cape Reina on those endless beaches
* walk up a glacier (Fox, Franz Josef - they do cheapo trips)
* see penguins doing funny penguin things down on the South Island coasts
There'll be test when you get home.
lots of luv!!

Happy New Year Girls,
Continue having a wonderful time. Felt we were with you as we watched Syneys New Year on the news, when it was your Midnight, it looked fantastic, a bit like Nanas Luce on Bonfire Night!!
