Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!
Well we left Hervey Bay on Wednesday 29th and headed off for Noosa Heads aka Noosa on the greyhound (our first taste of bus transportation). We were with Ana who we met on Fraser and also with her friend Laura who is from Frankfurt in Germany. Just so you all know they are two of the most genuine, funny and amazing people you could ever wish to meet. We love them!!!
After about a 4 hour drive we arrived to be pleasantly surprised. Noosa is a really wealthy little town with lots of houses on the river and a really nice main street with lots of good clothes shops and coffee shops. Because there was four of us we thought it might be better to rent an apartment/unit out for a couple of days rather than going in a hostel which would have cost the same.
Well, we managed to land ourselves the most mint crib ever!!! We had our own two bedroom bungalow with open plan kitchen, dining room and lounge, a bath and shower room and also pool and hot tub out the back. Just to celebrate we went shopping and filled the fridge to the brim and bought ourselves some real bottles of wine rather than the foul goon we had become accustomed to. The first night we had a BBQ and decided to get into the hot tub with our wine. Someone had basically messed up and put far too much chlorine in the water and we all got it on our chests, it dyed our jewellrey black and dyed lucy's nice new bikini bottoms yellow. not fun! we did a spot of complaining and managed to get one night free! neece one!
On the friday we all went to Australia Zoo for the day. Yes guys the home of the late crocodile hunter Steve Irwin (RIP). Got a free bus from Noosa which played a video about Steve which had all of us (well maybe just us two) crying before we had even got there! somebody had failed to tell us that the day we chose to go was actually Bob Irwin (son of Steve) 3rd birthday and all children got in free! so the place was overrun with under 5's! nice! had an awesome day though and because of Bob's birthday meant that Terri, Bindi Sue and him were there and we got to see them at the croc show! they were very brave and really nice. also got to see the tweenies and noddy! great!!! had a piccie with a koala and a kangaroo and got to see some crocs!!! at one place in the zoo they have a memorial wall for steve which is amazing and we all shed a tear whilst reading the messages etc.... all in all a fun day out!
Instead of staying in Noosa for 3 nights we ended up staying 5 coz we loved it so much. had a night out on the saturday and met some guys from Brisbane who are going to give us a free lift down there with them. score!!!
Off to Brisbane next so will update again then. Crikey! he he!
Love us xxx
