Hi again! We arrived in Darwin at 2am on Saturday and got the airport shuttle bus to our hostel, Elkes Backpackers. It's just a short walk to the main backpackers area so it's in a good location but it's a little bit more peaceful! We have just spent the last couple of days taking it easy. It's going to take us a while to get used to the heat here, it's unbelievably hot and it doesn't really get any cooler at night either!

We took a walk to Mindil Beach Market last night and watched the sunset on the beach. There were lots of Asian food stands, arts and crafts and a couple of bands playing didgeridoos and drums. We were lucky to see the market as it was the last one this year as it is coming into the wet season here soon.

There's not much else going on around Darwin so we will just be relaxing by the pool and the BBQ with a few beers until Sunday when we leave on a trip to Broome. :)
