Evening/Good morning! Today we got up at 6:45 and started work at 8:30am. It was a pretty average day of work. Get to drive the golf buggy around the cabins which makes things more interesting! There isn't a lot to update you on whilst busy working! Apparently the regular bear that comes here visited last week and was playing on the picnic tables! Hope we get to see him! Our supervisor's away until Monday and she was impressed with our work, so that's good.. So...

Today was our first day of work! We got up at 6:30am and walked the very long minute to our workplace from our accommodation. We had a pretty easy day, it was more of an induction, getting to know everything. The cabins here are cosy and have nice little fireplaces in the new ones. The older cabins arent as nice, but still cosy looking. Our shift ended at 2pm, so a nice short 6 hour day. We'll be working 40hrs per week which is good, with two days off. Not sure...

Today we got up at 8am and went to meet with our co-ordinators to complete our paperwork for our jobs. We stayed at Chateau Jasper staff accommodation for the night which is one of their facilities. When I say 'their', I mean Mountain Park Lodges- the company we are working for. Once we'd sorted all of that and collected our uniforms and name badges, we packed our things and set off to Pocahontas Cabins, 30 minutes drive away. This is where we will be working ...

Prepare yourself for a slightly long read.. (grab a cuppa!) We got up at 4am and checked out of our apartment at 5:30am, ready for our road trip to Jasper! The weather was good for the first part, and the drive was pretty straight forward along the windy highway with some lovely scenery. We stopped off at a place called Hope to stretch our legs for 15 minutes, then set off again. As we were edging up towards the mountainous roads, we saw signs saying our route ...

So we got up bright and early, like most days. We rang around a few garages to see if they would be willing to do a trade with our Ford.. a few considered, so we went to take a look at their cars. We drove to Richmond Suzuki, about 30mins away where we test drove a Suzuki estate, which we really liked - it drove really well and the salesman said we could trade our car + $400, but then his boss didn't agree to such a low price as the Suzuki was worth quite a bit...
