Laura and Alice's Adventure Round the World!
You can tell by my rookie error of leaving my pizza in our room that I don't come from a hot country- there were loads of small insects also sharing by the morning! After breakfast, we went to the local beach, although the tide was so far up, there wasn't much shore to sit on. It was fairly empty and so felt almost like it was our own personal beach! Along the way, we had a look at some beach huts, although they weren't as nice as the ones the restaurant form last night owned, although I'm guessing none within our budget are! We stopped in a café, where Alice had a lemongrass tea and the woman made me some medicinal concoction to help with my stomach which was still feeling a bit dodgy. Mid-afternoon we walked up to the shops, but got side-tracked by a Thai man inviting us to chill out with him in his bar. He brought some beers and took us (on his motorbike!) to see the sunset on the beach, which was very beautiful and made really nice colours on the water surface. Alice made a sand elephant, and had a go at the tightrope that some Germans had brought. Apparently in Germany they have them everywhere, and so we got to see a guy who was very good at it. Chad, the Thai guy, brought us another beer (which we didn't really want), and was quite hard to shake off when we wanted to go for dinner- he offered to cook us dinner, and then insisted he dropped us off at the restaurant and then made us go to his friends restaurant instead. I was quite happy to get my first chicken satay though.
