At the bakery this morning, I had a cinnamon custard bun and some garlic bread and Alice got a custard bun too, a chocolate twist and a cookie. We decided to move guest house as we wanted to go out tonight (we felt like we'd be told off if we came back late at the current one), and then once we'd put our stuff in, Alice planned our navigation (I have been doing most of it but we thought it'd be good for both of us if we switched around). We got the boat to Chinatown, where we had a look round the market. One shop was selling hairbands with plastic vegetables on- very Lady Gaga! We had some street food- Alice had a selection of veggie stuff including tofu and bean cakes, and I had tofu and some weird unidentified crunchy rice thing. For all I know it could have been duck feet meat or something!
We walked to China gate, and then got the metro and skytrain to the Art and Cultural centre. The bit I liked the best was the bottom floor. Primary and Secondary school children were asked to do a picture about preventing liver cancer, and the standards and imagination of the composition of the pictures were very impressive for their ages! On the second floor, Art students had displayed their models about body and form which were also very interesting. We went to the MBK food court again for dinner- I had Pad Thai followed by a banana waffle and Alice had shrimp wanton soup.
We came back and got ready to go out. We danced in a bar playing African music and I tried a scorpion (actually quite tasty!) and a Pork Samurai burger from McDonalds.
