Alice got Samantha, the girl in our room, to sing a birthday message to Flo, and posted it on YouTube, and then we walked into town, and had a Starbucks, so Alice could Skype him. I went to have a look at the Nike shoe shops, and to see if anywhere had any nice purses, without success. Because we were a bit hungry, and wanted to try one before we left, we went back to Mother's, to get a sweet potato pie, and then walked back to near where the hostel was, to Parasol's, where the receptionist had told me did good Po Boys (pretty much baguette sandwiches). She had recommended the firecracker shrimp one which is the one both me and Alice got. They were huge, but so good, we both polished them off.
After that we picked up our bags, and waited at the bus stop for a while, sitting under the tree, which felt very relaxing. It wasn't so relaxing on the other end however, as my Google Map directions told me I could get the bus at the cross section of Loyola and Poydras, but we couldn't see the bus stop, so I rang up the number, and the woman asked if I could see Walgreen's, which I couldn't and she said "well you're not at the cross of Loyola and Poydras then", even though we definitely were. I suggested we walked to the stop where we got off the other day, as even if it meant we came back on ourselves, at least we knew where that was, and it turned out that was a Walgreen's, so she must have got confused between which roads crossed outside Walgreen's. The bus was a bit late, but the driver was quite funny as he told Alice the bus went to Texas.
Whilst we were at the airport, Alice rang Horaccio, the man in charge of her Australian tax account, who told her that on his assessment of her claim, he had found her guilty of fraud for claiming she had stated she was a resident for tax purposes (or the opposite I can't remember) based on the fact she had lived in 2 different states or something. Given that he hadn't let her know of this assessment, and that he kept changing his story, it all sounds very dodgy and Alice is going to appeal the case.
New Orleans airport had good bed like chairs to sleep on.
