Mark (the man we met last night from New York) told us that there was an outlet shopping centre, so we got the hour long bus to get there, only to find that it wasn't an outlet, just normal priced clothes. We met a girl who was wearing a playsuit from Forever 21 in Las Vegas, and so we were excited to have our first shop in there- the bottom floor wasn't too good, but upstairs I found a few pieces to try on, although I really needed a wee when I was trying them on so rushed my decisions a bit. I brought a white summery playsuit, which probably isn't too suitable for backpacking as it was a bit creased, but will be nice for England, and a skirt and some more of the shorts you can wear underneath skirts. When I paid I realised that I had left my card at the hostel, which limited the amount I could spend, so I consigned myself to just find a purse, as Mark had scared me about the dress code in clubs here, and I felt embarrassed of my South American purse, but I couldn't find one I liked, so brought some jewellery instead. A cute little boy was trying on a straw hat and singing into a clothes roller which was very cute.
We got on the 'S' bus which was different to the one we got on earlier, and it was very tedious and seemed to be winding up and down every road once we got into South Beach. I hadn't realised that the bus stop at 5th Avenue would be the last stop before it went over the bridge, but at least we got a nice view from walking back over it. A man on the bus was shouting at someone who wasn't there.
When we finally got back to the hostel, we cooked our dinner (I had the corn dogs again) and had our tarot cards read by a lady who does voiceovers for a show about levels in Miami. Her readings weren't that accurate- she told both me and Alice that we used to be really angry, but have calmed down now! Then we had showers and got ready to go out. I had brought cinnamon whiskey and ginger ale, which was a very nice combination. We went to a bar down the road, and mark came to meet us there, and took us to The Clevelander- a place that puts on shows, which Diana (tarot card reading lady) is going to perform at on Monday. He then took us to another club which had dub style music downstairs and hip hop and R&B upstairs (we stayed more in the hip hop room).
