Monday morning, just chilling - got to go find a job this week... Had a great weekend in Rye though the weather was like Dorset in autumn - sheeting rain, particularly when Mark decided to mow the lawn of course! Went up to the area where all the vineyards are and went to a microbrewery up there as well. Mark and I impulse purchased 14 bottles of vino and half a dozen bottles of beer. Tasting generally seems to cost a couple of dollars per person which isn't bad at all and if you make it to the brewery I recommend the Stout - at over 8% you won't be driving home but the taste is to die for!
Saturday night we went over to the portsea hotel and had their seafood platter which was supposed to be for 2 people but beat the three of us (though we did have a plate of mixed starters too) excellent oysters and prawns though the calamari was a bit rubber bandy in places.
Just chilled on sunday and then took a wander over to the local - used tyo be the irish pub that was in the Kath and Kim episode where they do the horizontal riverdance (though its all been renovated since then). Had a few draught Kirins (mmmm...) though prices were in line with the UK really which I was less impressed with.
Weather is back to normal today so I'll be off investigating and popping my head in shops etc. to find out who I can drop CVs into tomorrow...
