Back Home.

We drove all day and got to Jarklin at about 7 pm, we stayed there the night. Charlotte was excited to see the cats again, she loves cats. The next morning we drove home.

Today we drove out to Menindee, we went to the town and then looked at the lakes. It was so dry that most of the lakes were nearly empty. Dad drove us out on a red dirt road and we had lunch on the sand, which would be in the water if it was full. Later we drove to Poci Hollow it had water and grass, because it was the last part of the lake system and there is a spill way there that slows the water. On Sunday we went out to Silverton, there we did many things. Like went to the old gaol (jail) where we saw lots of old stuff and prison cells and a tiny exercise yard where the prisoners could only see the sky. Then we looked at an art gallery, then a cafe for something to eat, I had apple pie, icecream and a strawberry milkshake. On the way to the next stop we saw some wild horses, donkeys, goats and emus. Today we arrived in Mildura. We stop at the big solar panels, they were enormous. Then we went to Red Cliffs to look at Big Lizzie, that was enormous too.  We set up camp near Merbien at Horseshoe Bend, right next to the Murray river. We went in to the Gateway Tavern for dinner.
