So we made it to La Paz! We had heard that its quite a dangerous city for petty theft and scams so we were on edge whenever we went out. But we loved the city and had no problems. It's such a colourful city with great markets for shopping and so cheap! The only thing is, it's very hilly and high altitude so it was very tiring carrying around all our parcels.
One of the highlights was running into a brother in the street one night. He was on his way home from their meeting with his family and he happened to be carrying a watchtower which we spotted, what are the chances? In his little English we worked out he was asking if we wanted to come back to their hall to meet the brothers and sisters. We agreed but weren't sure where he was taking us. After going through a gated building entrance and up three levels we found their kingdom hall. As if communicating in Espanol isn't hard enough, the Cong spoke a local dialect which is not even close to Spanish! But the brothers were just as loving, and don't get many foreign visitors so was a really nice experience.
The next day though we were both sick, must of picked up some sort of bug, but I guess it's kind of inevitable in these countries. It was kind of a shame though as it cut our time short in La Paz , but still excited to get to our next destination Copacabana at Lake Titicaca.
