Woke up extremely early this
Morning but feeling good after my Thai massage last nite!!! I didn't bother with breakfast as I had a bug on my plate last nite so had a cup of tea n went to sort our Laos visas which was a bit of a kaffuffle as when we paid in baht, we were given $35 to pay with on the other side and as it was raining, I was tryin to get my bag cover out n got left behind on the other side ha ha, only for a minute tho, wasn't long before I was reunited with everybody!!! We were told the 'slow boat' leaves at 10 but we didn't set off til 11.50!!! This f***in boat takes 'slow' to the next level!!! We keep stopping at various places where the local kids get on n try to sell us stuff!!! Still laughing at an 8 year old asking another, 'do u want to buy a beer'? Ha ha the kid shook his head n scuttled off quickly. There's quite a cute French guy who keeps taking pictures with his big posh camera who gave me a wink, that's providing he's not been knocked in the eye by his lense!!! Not looking forwards to tonites accommodation n the last cash point didn't work so hav no Laos money at present!!!
Got ripped off for the room, no lights or water n no cash point in the village but friendly travellers were willing to help! Wen we set off in the morning, we saw them stretchering a dead body onto a speed boat which sped past us, loverly!!! Finally reached luangprahbang and got a nice room n great food and drink at utopia!!! :0)
