Well we made it half way there - flight was not too bad - very full and not much room to spread but we survived and no swollen ankles -stockings and aspirins worked ok - Sian started to get a bit restless after 7 hours but then went off to sleep , I was ok until about 8 hours then resorted to drugs shall we say hips and back became a litlle stiff so a few tools of the trade later and off into a nice relaxing sleep, Singapore immagration let us in ok and we didnt get stopped for drug smuggling, as a few of you said i would, Sian was fully in control and we found our way to the taxi's and off to our hotel.

Everywhere is so clean - heaven for my ocd Sian, the hotel is absolutely beautiful we are sat on the balcony writing this having had a very good sleep - body clocks went a bit up the shoot -i woke up at 5:50 am and thought I would dose for an hour then wake Sian up so we could go exploring BUT we then both went back to sleep until 11.00 - so missed our first breakfast - but up we jumped and off we went

Chinatown , Raffles City, The Marina & a river boat cruise -Yes karen and Steve I got sian on a boat -it wasnt quite as rough as the River Dart though!!!!

Chinatown was amazing you will see some of the pictures of the fish we chose not to eat and many of the hanging animals Sian ran from , smells and sights that are unbelievable.

I couldnt quite pluck up enough courage to have my feet done and let the fish eat all the hard skin - people we sat in little shop fronts haveing everything from feet eating your scabby bits to having you eyebrows tattooed - we opted out of those but came back for a nice massage at the hotel instead.

The buildings etc are amazing we sat chatting as you do to two scottish lads having a beer who were building oil rigs off the coast - building goes on 24/7 as you will see from the pictures the only way is up they recomended we went to some roof top resturant tonight 71 floors up in the tallest building -singapore slings are supposed to be better than raffles so perhaps we will try both

It is extremely hot and humid but we have done very well - I think I have lost a stone already - I no Ellie said I would come back a different person but that would be bloody marvellous - havent shopped much today just bought a spoon for nanny a bag for meg and a shot glass for Sian telling you all want you cant do in Singapore
