Day 1 - relations between Jack and I are still remarkably warm following an early start on our first day travelling!
We are staying at Emma Hostel which is fairly basic but good location and good prices. On arrival, our beds were still occupied by the previous nights guests - two good looking Spanish ladies. There was a classic awkward moment when Jack offered to let them stay another night as long as they'd share with him. Luckily, this just got them moving faster and we could dump our bags and get on with exploring Prague.
We didn't really have a plan for the day and ended up wandering fairly aimlessly but did catch part of a free concert in the grounds of the Czech Senate and enjoyed a hearty, but cheap, meal in a small pub with a few Pilsners to wash it down.
For a fleeting moment we thought we had already achieved the travellers dream of losing ourselves but it turned out we had just taken a wrong turn as opposed to a deep philosophical moment. We were soon back on track and back at the hostel and are now readying ourselves to perhaps sample the Prague nightlife but as its night one and we have been awake for a previously unimaginable 14.5 hours this will probably be one for Three Pint Dave.
Finally, Jack gave me a thought of the day: "I don't get the point of all the fancy architecture. Don't waste your time with it. It's what the building does on the inside which matters"
Is there a deeper meaning? I doubt it...

Matt That's the kind of thinking that justifies the existence of places like Dundee
Jane I don't know this Jack but he sounds like a grade A dick.
