Hi All,

Just a quick update to let you know we are still in Mexico City. Arrived very late on wednesday evening completely wiped out from the flight. The hotel we were booked into was a tad grim so thursday morning we were off out and managed to find a lovely hostel in the historical area of mexico city where there are loads of fellow travellers to chat to about where is good to go in Mexico and central america!

We have managed to pack alot into a few days so far, we have been out to Teotihuacan (pronounced teh oh tih wah kan). Its an amazing pre-hispanic city just outside Mexico City...will post pictures once we have worked out a way to up load them...we climbed up the top of the Sun pyramid in the blazing sunshine..it is about 70m high and the view from the top was stunning. Coming back from Teotihuacan we managed to see a protest in the main square of Mexico City (which is where our hostel is) it was impressive to see men on horseback waving machatees about!!

Friday evening was a trip to watch the mexican wrestling, what a surreal experience that was! We totally enjoyed the spectical and just watching the Mexican people hollering for blood was a show in itself. Today we have been wandering around the Museo Nacional de Antropologia which is all about Mexico and its history.

We leave Mexico city on tuesday morning, flying off to Merida in the Yucatan Peninsula.
