Kya Travels
We woke up today, packed our bags and checked out then went for a walk down to avis again to try see if the camera case had been found. The lady made a few calls, and after a while found that the car was now in Alicante, and tried to call them for us, but they weren't answering. So she assured us she would follow it up and get back to us, and we left to go find some lunch. We walked down the street and stopped at a little Chinese restaurant. We had a very interesting conversation between English, Spanish, Chinese and google translate, and eventually put in our order! When it came out though, my tofu had meat in it!! Noooooo!!! No Carne! I got another one without meat, and they were pretty nice about it, so it was ok. We drank some beers which were only €2.50 for a litre! Then we walked back through town to the hostel where we picked up our bags and walked back through town to the train station. We printed off our tickets, waited for a little bit, then got on the train for Barcelona. The train was only 3 hours, and I spent most of it sleeping and part of it watching the Spanish movie that was on and trying to understand what was happening! We got into Barcelona, and after working out where we were, we walked the 15ish minutes to our hostel and went to check in. The girl at reception greeted us with some chocolate cake, and went through a map of the city with us, showing us all the good things to do and see. She was super nice! They had free dinner at this hostel, which is such a great idea! We were a little hungry already though, so we thought we'd go out and find something to snack on before dinner! We walked to the supermarket and bought 4 liters of beer, 4 liters of water and a big bag of chips and it only cost us €4.30!! Crazy cheap! We headed back to the hostel, put the beers in the fridge to chill and hung out in the kitchen until dinner time. Dinner was a Spanish dish of chickpeas and veggies, and it seemed like the whole hostel came down for a feed! We had a beer and a chat with the people on our table. There was an older couple there from New Zealand who I had a good chat with for a while, then eventually we went down to the basement and had a game of pool before heading up to bed.
