Kya Travels
We got up this morning – Darren a bit worse for wear – and went to the restaurant for breakfast (same as yesterday) then after packing all our stuff, we checked out and headed into Hobart via a quick look around at the Richmond Gaol. We drove around for ages trying to find a park, and when we finally got one, headed down to the Salamanca Markets. We got a juice, and started looking at all the stalls. We tasted heaps of fudges and bought one. I tried and failed to find a pair of sunnies, then we went around the cafes to look for some lunch. We stopped at a place called "Say Cheese", where we had a garden wrap/turkey foccacia. Then we went into the city and went to JB-HiFi and bought a cable for the ipod to play through the car and a new memory card for the camera. Then we got some fuel and started the trip up to Mikey's place in Somerset. After a long and pretty uneventful (but beautiful) drive, we got to Somerset, stopped at the bottleshop and went to Mikey’s place. We gave them a bottle of bourbon and a block of chocolate, and had a tour of their house. Then we followed them out to the airport via a petrol station where we dropped off our rental car. Then we went back to their house and had a look at a slideshow of photos from when Mikey was in Victoria last. Then we went into Burnie and got some noodles for tea, and went back and watched The Hangover while we ate the noodles. After the movie finished, everyone was pretty tired, so we just went to bed.
