Today we slept in until about 1pm before getting ready and heading out. We walked through the downtown area, stopping at Union Square for a coffee then kept walking towards the waterfront. After a sleep in this morning, we got ready and headed down towards the Embarcadero and the waterfront to find ourselves some sort of party for Independence Day. There were a bunch of markets down there, and we passed one guy selling tshirts with really cool designs on them. We woke up today and got ready to head off again, and after a quick chat with everyone we got in the car and followed them down the street. The five of us (Taylor, Eric and Rainie) went to a little cafe called Porch and ordered some coffees, and breakfast for Darren and I. We drank our coffees and had a chat with the guys until our food was ready, then we had to say our goodbyes and get back on the road. But at least it's not too long until we'll get to catch up...

We woke up at about 7:30 this morning and packed up our things and got checked out. We walked up the street about half an hour to the Alamo car hire place. We got our little car, a Chevrolet Cruze, and Darren jumped in the drivers seat to start the day. After our usual lack of sleep from about 1am-5am, we woke up at around 11ish, then walked down to Little Italy. I grabbed us a coffee while Darren went to buy a sticker for the guitar case, then we walked down to America plaza, where we jumped straight on the trolley which we rode about 30mins to arrive at the Mexican border crossing at San Ysidro.
