Well it's official, we have met every single weirdo in America and they all joined us on our long 15 hour greyhound coach journey from San Francisco to Las Vegas. We arrived in a very hot desert in the afternoon and were quick to go up the Stratosphere tower which is where we are staying, to take in the views of Las Vegas.
It's so hot in Las Vegas that we have been chilling by the pool during the day which to be honest feels more like a nightclub which is a nice change of atmosphere. One day Richard dared to take on the rides at the top of the Stratosphere, although when he went on them again at night I don't think he enjoyed the very strong winds that had suddenly formed which also caused our pool to be closed the next day.
In the evenings we headed to the strip which is a surprisingly long walk from the Stratosphere hotel. The strip can only be described as an adults playground with casinos everywhere and loads of free attractions. We have seen the Bellagio fountains a number of times as they are quite addictive! We saw a volcano eruption, the fall of Atlantis, gondola rides, circus acts and gambled some of our money away in a number of hotels!
Unfortunately we didn't leave Vegas any richer but we had fun trying!
