I haven't updated in awhile but I'll start with Ceaser. For the national theater of Ireland it was probably the worst production ever, Julie's 8 minute Hamlet with the Matts in drag was Tony worthy compared to it. I don't know whether is was the dramtic shoots of blood that sprayed into the air or the phonagraph and metal chairs or that Portia kept playing boys in other scenes... The next day James and Kim came. We went to the Sugar Club to hear the big band and they were amazing. A real swing dancing couple came and blew Kim and I out of the water. The next day we did the book of Kells, honestly kind of a let down. They build it up with rooms of audiovisuals and stuff but really its just a book. Then we went to look at the bog bodies. We went to Christ Cathedral because its the oldest most hardcore church in Dublin. There are catacombs and yet more audiovisual presentations. Of course, we went to Guinness. That night I met James and the Bleu Note, the best jazz club in Dublin apparently. it was cool but due to 9am classes I bailed early. Thursday we did Newgrange, Slane, and Tara. I tried to tell them Tara is just a big hill but they insisted so we went. Somehow coming home we got on the highway to Derry. Not good. We got back to the city did dinner and said goodbye. It was awesome to have him here though. Good times were had.
So my petafile lit teacher, or maybe just a pervert being that I'm nearly 19, I don't know but anyway he has found even new ways to piss me off. The creepy questioning and hitting on me wasn't bad enough but then he insinuated to the whole class that I hate my dad which clearly is not true if you know me. I got mad at him but decided not to say anything then, just publically denounce James Joyce as an arrogant a****** who couldn't write an effective summary of the female spirit if he tried. Well I guess he did try but the whole Molly Bloom thing is stupid ravings of what is I assume an insecure man with a big brain and little else. He stopped questioning me about anything after that.
