On August 2, 2014, we finally returned, just in time for mom to go on a seven day retreat at the Vermont Zen Center.

The boys were really happy to be home. They were ready to re-connect with friends and enjoy their beloved home in Shelburne, Vermont.

This was truly an epic journey - one we hope to repeat before they graduate from high school. Next time though, we're renting a motor home! While traveling in a Prius is light on the earth, well, let's just say, maybe it's closer than any family needs to be for that many hours a day!!!!

In the end though, we learned once again how grateful we are for our little nuclear family, our extended family, and our world family. So wonderful to have boys that appreciate giant meteor holes and red wood trees; love to see their aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins; love to meet new people; and are so curious about the world! Sva-ha!
