On August 2, 2014, we finally returned, just in time for mom to go on a seven day retreat at the Vermont Zen Center. The boys were really happy to be home. We stopped for a about 5 days and visited Dan, Erin and Trip. We made a few visits to the nearby dog park, we went into Pittsburg and then we went together to Gettysburg and stayed overnight in a camp ground with cabins. On Sunday we arrived at the Grand Canyon National Park, South Rim, from the Tusayan entrance around 5pm. Today we took my father's (Bart's) advice and drove down the Eastern side of California on 395 South. Glenn and I agree that this route was the most amazing interstate driving either of us have ever been on.
