Moved an hour ahead Wed night --Thursday morning. We're out in the ocean between Cozumel and Port Canaveral. We woke up little after 8:30 and turned on the morning show. That was a mistake. Stacey had planned her day before going to bed. She had 3 things she really wanted to do and then she would have about 3 hours to leisurely pack up for the change of cruise and change of rooms. By the end of the morning show, however, Jimmy had talked up so many of the things happening today, that she now wanted to do at least 6 things. Her window of packing had shrunk dramatically. I was feeling tired and could not shake that feeling. All I wanted to do was rest and relax. Stacey in a hurry to try to catch all. Boat building competition, drawing, pictures, I can't remember everything, it's a blur. I kept up as long as I could before I had to disappoint her and send her along without me. I was starting to lose hearing in my right ear. Not painful but very annoying, and I'm guessing has something to do with this cold I can't seem to shake. Time for a nap for me. Noel, our cabin host, is disappointed we not staying in his section, we will be changing floors and cabins for the next cruise, the Bahamas. We promise to come visit. He takes care of our luggage and I ask him to put them in our new room instead of outside of it, as would be usual for the next day. No problem.
We caught the Disney Dreams show….our favorite. Then more packing and then the last dinner with our table mates from last 14 days. Good group, easy to get along with. Stacey was disappointed that she didn't get Mike and Sully to sign an autograph on a picture frame like she had wanted. We ask at Guest Services if it was possible to get it added, but was told it was too late. Only longer cruises have certain characters on board and only then can they sign stuff. At dinner, Katherine heard Stacey tell this story at the end of dinner and said, no problem, just have to ask the right person, "Follow me." So Stacey did. I went on myself to guest services to look after something that needed to be adjusted on our final bill. It took me a while to find Stacey after. Katherine had taken her to look for an officer who was in charge of that kind of thing. When they spotted her, Katherine introduced Stacey and left. The officer said she could make it happen if Stacey had the stuff ready. So Stacey ran to our room to get the stuff, almost forgetting pens, and booked it back, but now couldn't find the officer. She asked another cast member who went and tracked her down, and made it happen. The officer said that she would have it dropped off at our cabin later tonight. Had to go back to guest services for some reason, I don't remember why, but while we were waiting I turned my head to watch something going on behind me. The girl behind the counter had come back and was trying to get my attention, but I couldn't hear her. Stacey had to tap me and point me forward. I had almost no hearing in my right ear now. It went away overnight but came back the mid- morning Friday in both ears. Extremely annoying.
After that, we went to Guardians of the Galaxy late show, but Stacey was worried about missing the autograph delivery, so she left 15 minutes into the movie to go back to the cabin and watch tv and wait. At some point there was a knock on the cabin door. Stacey stood to get off the bed, took the roughly 5 steps to the door and opened it and….no one was there! But autographs were, down beside the door. Stacey looked up and down the corridor, and still has no idea who delivered them or how they got away so fast. The movie ends after 1 am sometime….bedtime. Early start tomorrow for port and changeover to a different room.
WYWH,
