Today was a warm day, around 31C and 50-60% humidity. While Stacey had used the Navigator to plan her day, my plan was to sleep, so I did not get up until after 1pm. She had gone to see Tinker Bell, Aladdin and Genie, and to a couple of craft lessons, I'm not sure about what. After getting myself together, I recalled Stacey saying she wanted to catch the port shopping seminar at 1:45 so I went there to join her. By the time I got there, there was a line to get in and get the shopping maps for St. Maarten and St. Thomas, as well as tickets for a raffle draw. After I got past the lineup, the seminar, located in the movie theatre, had already started. The room was quite full so it took me a few minutes to locate Stacey in the crowd, but when I did, there was an empty seat next to her, so I joined. At the end of the seminar the draw was held, first for a couple of t-shirts, won by a woman near the back of the theatre. The final draw was for a small "diamond" necklace. The numbers were read out by Johan the Port Shopping Advisor, 624953….."That's me!" said a familiar voice beside me as Stacey raised her hand. She was shocked. "I never win anything." A nice little heart shaped necklace.
After the seminar, our plan had been to catch a matinee showing of the evening showing of the Aladdin musical in the main theatre, but there was a lineup after the seminar to get the coupons from Johan for the ports, and by the time that we had gotten to the front of the line, the show was well underway. Instead, we went up to deck 11 to get some food, because by now, it was getting close to 4pm and I hadn't eaten anything since dinner last night. The panini was good, and so was the grilled chicken that I had.
We decided at this was as good a time as any to try the Aquaduck. It's a waterslide ride on the ship. You ride a two person raft through a waterslide tube, that goes out over the edge of the ship and uphill a couple of times being pushed by water jets. Stacey was nervous about it, but came with me and did it. It was pretty fun, and Stacey said she would do it again, but the wait was too long for another ride right away. We got pretty wet, though I think I got the worst of it. The water jets pushing us uphill really hits your back with a lot of water. I was protecting Stacey from the worst of it I think, though she got doused as well.
Next it was down to find a laundry, since the dirty clothes were piling up. We had not washed anything since the end of the last cruise, so we had stuff from then and also DisneyWorld to get cleaned. We were getting pressed for time though. My suit jacket was wrinkled from being packed in the suitcase, so I went to iron it. I took a wrong turn, and instead of going forward, I went aft. The laundrette is all the way forward on our deck, 7, so I went up a level to deck 8 where there was another laundrette closer to the rear of the ship.
After putting the wash on, we got dressed up for formal night dinner and then went to see the 6:15pm showing of Aladdin. We liked the show, very good, especially how they did the flying carpet effect and song. Then it was back to the laundry to put it in the dryer, and back downstairs to get formal pictures done. There were several pictures areas queued up, and all quite long in length. We chose the shortest one, and it seems, the slowest moving. We had hoped to be done in time to go and get the clothes from the dryer and get back in time for dinner, but instead, we had to go directly to dinner, as we were already about 10 minutes later by the time we got there.
Dinner was an adventure for Stacey. She had pre-ordered her meal the night before, as we had done many times before on the Disney Wonder. Her salad, however, came with red onion, which was supposed to be left off. She started picking them out, but I told the assistant server, Lea, who had delivered it that it was wrong, and she went and told our server, Alexa who took it away to have it remade. The rest of the table was on their second course by the time Stacey had her first remade. Next, the main course, a lobster and shrimp pasta dish with gluten free pasta. Alexa had given the rest of us our dinners, I had the beef tenderloin, but didn't serve Stacey hers. Something didn't look right to her, so she took it back to the chef and asked if it was gluten free pasta. "Yeah, yeah". She insisted that he look again. Nope, not the gluten free pasta. The only gluten free pasta they have is spaghetti, and this was elbow macaroni, a dead giveaway. Everyone was done their meals by the time Stacey got hers remade, at 9:45pm. The seafood was good, but the pasta wasn't cooked all the way. Stacey didn't want to send it back, since it was so late already, but I didn't want her to eat the pasta either, in case it upset her stomach. Desert for her was a fruit plate. It looked fabulous, with melons and mango cut up like flowers, though, she couldn't eat one raspberry since it had what looked like a little bit of mold on it. Probably the least successful meal for Stacey on this trip. The Wonder seemed more organized than this. Maybe because this ship has more people to deal with.
We were the last table to leave the Royal Court dining room, and Stacey and I the last to leave, since we had to pre-order her dinner for tomorrow. Next was folding laundry before going to bed. It was after 11pm, and we're tired from climbing those extra stairs of this bigger ship.

AmberBamber cute little necklace - it's so exciting to win things!
Jasmyn Phillips Considering that cruise ships are known for catering to food sensitivities, I would find their constant dinner mishaps unacceptable. Especially having to wait hours to get food that was preordered. Hope Stacey doesn't have blood sugar issues!
