Ok. I will start with a confession. Hardcore ravers we are not!! There i said it!!

We started that day with possibly the worst fery journey of my life and thats saying something. That was definately the boat that rocked and rocked and rocked (i was very nearly sick on Becky's head, she didn't look like she was doing any better might i add!). This was followed by one of the worst drives ever. Not one of the guide books mentions that horrible hilly bit you have to drive through if you are staying any where other than Haadrin Beach. Steep and hairpins are an understatement! I was to scared to speak because it involved opening my mouth! Becky was pretending to be asleep so i didn't know how bad she was feeling (Mrs "I don't need a travel sick pill").

When we got to our hotel (couldn't be much further north if we tried hard, we were nearly in Koh Tao it this point!) it is fair to say that the pictures on the internet must have been photoshopped but the view was worth it, could almost forgive the slate walls and seashell string curtains (gopping!!!!).

After sprucing ourselves up in preparation for our night of teenage revellrey (we are the oldest people here by 10 years!) we decided food was in order to line the stomachs. At this moment it all went black - power out on the entire island, Not detered (who needs lights anyway when you have glow sticks) we worked our way up to the resturant. As soon as we did this the heavens opened, and it poured and poured and poured. Just a small tropical storm apparently. 2 hours later we still have no power and the pond at the front is overflowing!!

Being the old women that we are we decided that this was a sign that we shouldn't go to the full moon party (we don't do wet!). We had already consumed a fair few drinks and decided we weren't missing out on anything so decided to stay and consume a whole lot more for half the price it would have been on the beach. Yay!!!!!

Everyone we have seen today said it was nothing special so good choice by us!

The beach is calling!
