We have been a little lazy in Bangkok. We have battled our way round Jim Thompsons house and Wat Pho with the massive gold buddha and been jostled all round the grand palace. We have been ripped off by taxi drivers and argued and with tuk tuk men. Who'd have thought sightseeing would be such hard work!! Bangkok. What can i say. So far smelly and dirty and i'm not very impressed. The night train is an experience - it was late (suprise suprise) but you get a bunk. Top bunk as all the bottom ones had already been booked. It is about 2 foot wide if that and when the train tilts you feel like your going to fall out! The train lights stay on all night and the aircon is set to freezing which wasn't pleasant. But definately a more comfortable way to travel than any of...

Koh Tao, Koh Tao what a beautiful place!!! Ferry was horrible again but that was no suprise. Roads much better and added bonus that the island is only 21sqkm! Managed to sort accomodation - just headed to the hotel furthest away as everything close to town was fully booked. Today we are off to Koh Tao, the next island along. The diving mecca of Thailand apparently, Becky is a very happy girl and i get to sit on the tropical beach and wait for her, its a hard life. Got to do another ferry first though and we are flying by the seat of our pants and don't have any accommodation for when we arrive (i'm having palpatations!!!!) but Becky assures me all will be well.
