The full moon party was something else. So much fun! The beach was packed with people from all over the world, all dressed in bright full moon party shirts. It was lined with bars and food stands, as well as some entertainment like the large skipping rope on fire which many people tried to jump through. Lots of loud music, bright lights, body paint, and drinks in buckets all on a beautiful sandy beach made for a very fun party!
The rest of our time on Koh Phangan has been pretty laid back. We are staying at a little bungalow resort right on the beach that comes with cockroaches and a cute little padlock to secure our room. We found our first real grocery store, and of course had to stock up on some snacks. Kristin even found peanut butter! We've also spent lots of time hanging out at our beach.
We went hiking this morning through the jungle. There was a path but it was relatively unmarked and very tough terrain. We didn't end up finding the beach we thought we were hiking to, but still had a good sweaty two and a half hour adventure.
We have loved our time on the islands, but tomorrow we are off to Bangkok, although it will take us the full day and night by ferry and bus to get there! Pictures to come later today :)
