Bristol for two hot minutes.

After spending a day here last week, I spent the last two days checking out Bristol. Very cool city with an awesome alternative scene. Graffiti here is pretty amazing. Not surprisingly, Bristol is where Banksy (allegedly) comes from.

I made the most of these short visits by walking my feet off and checking out and many of the sights as I could. My first day I walked up through the Bear Pit to Stokes Croft - a fun grungy part of town where you could admire street art for days. They I cut across to the suspension bridge which is the typical tourist thing to do.

Back in the city this weekend, I had big plans to check out Bristol Pride. I headed out in the morning to catch the parade - which was actually a march. No corporate floats, no politicians, just people taking the streets. It was cool to see this part done a different way. After killing some time in a park with a couple pints (because this is acceptable here), I made my way over to enter the festival space. Unfortunately they are at capacity already (~5pm) and weren't opening the gates to anyone who wasn't already in. Pretty huge disappointment. On the bright side, I was well rested for my flight out.

It was a couple quick visits, but very cool nonetheless. I could definitely see me making my way back here again sometime for a proper tour of the city. Until next time... ✌️
