A really fun thing happened today that I want to share!

For context, I've been staying at this hostel, but I haven't been here much. Between making friends and checking out the festivities, I'm lucky if I'm here for 6 or 7 hours a day.

Today, one of my current roommates chatted me up asking if I will be around more or if I was going out again (kind of shocked - whoops, I have a reputation). Then he went on to give me a gift. I unwrapped a little box and found a sweet ornate USB key.

He explained that he was from South Korea and he worked in tech, and that he was giving these gifts away so that people would use them and think of South Korea.

It was so cool. He is such an awesome dude. I felt so special. I can't say enough good things about this exchange.

I also had some Canada souvenirs so I gave him a magnet with a beaver on it. I hope he keeps it and thinks that it is as cool as I think this USB stick is.

The whole thing had me thinking about many of the awesome people that I have been meeting for the past few weeks. Some of them I expected, and others I didn't, but I've definitely been very fortunate to have the opportunities to interact with some really sweet people from all over the world.
