Work and play in another hot pit stop.

Spent the last few days in Orlando for a conference. It was a busy few days, and hot off a 14 hour time change. Nonetheless, it was a lot of fun.

I left Melbourne at 9am on Wednesday. The 14 hour flight was a killer but I survived with lots of movies. That flight was actually delayed which made me miss my connection. This had me re directed through Charlotte which was also delayed. In the end I was en route for about 26 hours but still made it to the hotel by midnight on Wednesday.

The conference was great. Saw lots of great presentations, met some great people, and had some great feedback on my own presentation as well. I was also fortunate enough to be elected as president of the student board for the next year so I'll get to be involved in lots of different ways.

Sunday we rallied the crew and visited Universal Studios. We had a blast, particularly in Harry Potter World and the Simpsons area. It wasn't super busy so we got to do most of the rides attractions in decent time. Definitely a fun place to hangout for a day.

Now it's back north for a few days of recovery. I didn't really have jet lag, but I also didn't really sleep much at all between travels, conference and social activities. Looking forward to a few days of chilling out and getting my life back together.

Logging off for a while but. I'm sure there will be some summer activities that come together soon enough. It has been a long and wild ride since leaving Canada all the way back in February. I can't believe it has flown by so quickly and that I was so lucky to see so many great places and meet so many awesome people. Hopefully I'll get back in the saddle and on another adventure soon enough!
