...gone fishin'
Hey Friends and fam.FIRSTLY: SO so sorry if there are emails we haven´t replied to yet. We have spent the last 2 days just trying to upload these pics and communicate with everyone but it takes time. Please know that every reply and msg we get from you is so so greatly appreciated, homesickness doesn´t only happen when yr 5 you know ;-)
I´ll try be brief cos know you just don´t have the time!!!
I can ski!!! I can ski!! I ski!!!(ed) Whooooooobaby!!! Totally new experience. We spent a 5 days in the Chilean alps. Stayed in a beeeutiful lodge, skied all day and ate glorious food and drank deeelishus chilean wine at night. Slept like babies (once the jetlag passed). Darren has skied before, so he was zooming around like stirling moss, and by the end of day one he was heading up to the tooop to play on the red slopes.. my hero...! Me? Well i was a compleeete beginner, like BE GIN NER baby. Day1: Luckily there was so much powder that whenever i lost complete control i could just throw myself into the snow and giggle uncontrollably. I fell 9 times on day 1. Day 2: ´Bout 3 falls, but much more scary cos snow had hardened...+ many tears of sheer frustration. I wanna ski like the experts!! Day 3: No falls...? must mean my luck is gonna run out annnny minute...so I got ´´The Fear´´. Easily remedied by a Pisco Sour - this Chilean speciality cocktail made with lemony stuff and eggwhite (sounds yuk but it was dee-lishus and quite strong too). I´m proud to say that by day 5 i was on the red slopes with Darren! Look, i certainly wasn´t lookin haaalf as good as HE was, but i taught myself to parallel ski and everything, so i could still zoom around and pretend to be some spy on a chase like in the movies!!! (If it sounds like i`m bragging...it´s because i AM dammit!!) It was SO much fun!OK Galapagos in next email...Love to everyone,XkndPS yep we´re a few weeks behind in our blogs, this happened sometime in June i think! Pics on the website!
