Tuesday was Nature's day tour.
Started early from Roseville and drove to Yosimete National Park. Me, Marlene, Al, Daisy, Maria and Adrian hiked a 3 km course which took us through the Fallen Monarch, Bachelor and 3 Graces, Grizzly Giant and the Tunnel Tree among others. 3k was all the exercise I was going to get.
The Glacier Point Observation spot came next. Plenty of postcard opportunities to be taken. We were so lucky to have Al take the responsibility of also being our official kodaker. In all, he had taken over a thousand shots of us. He gave us a dvd copy of those pictures. Thank you Al and Daisy.
You just get awed of God's majesty when you view the Half Dome, El Capitan and the Bridalveil Falls. You feel so small and at the same time elated to be so privileged to view such grandeur.
We wound up in the valley where the Awahnee Hotel and other amenities of the park were located.
We literally crisscrossed the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range where we visited the Taioca Pass (9,950 ft), the Mono Lake and the Lake Tahoe. I would recommend if you get to a place do the nature tour first. Had a lot of precious snapshots taken there.
Had a late dinner at Harvey's Casino in Lake Tahoe City.
The ride home was fast and extremely x-game variety. Taking curves on a downhill 7% grade at night at speeds of 60 mph will get your heart pumping. Both my feet were pressed hard on the floor to help with the brakes with those switchbacks.
We got back to Roseville at 1:30 for the early trip to Orlando.
