Was met at Sacramento Airport by Al and Daisy. You couldn't have found hosts more accommodating than them. Along with lively Maria, the day's trip went on according to Al's precise schedule.
Immediately went to a factory tour of the Jelly Bean Factory. Along with the kids and their teachers, we sampled a variety of jelly beans.
The winery tour in Napa Valley was the highlight of the day. After lunch at Chipotle (a Mexican fastfood), we visited a total of seven wineries. The architecture of these wineries range from French to Modern. Spanish and Persian. With a visit to the Old Faithful Geyser wedged in between the wineries, the finale came last.
The Castello de Amorosa is a famous winery with a castle which was built in over 16 years. The five wines we tasted were exquisite. I will not drink beer anymore. I think I drank a lot more than I should have - I took Marlene's share of the reds and whites - dolcini or something.
We sincerely thank Al and Daisy for such a lovely day. More to come tomorrow.
