It is so great to have Collin and my parents here! Today we traveled the "Golden Round Trip" in Lucerne. The round trip begins with a 1.5 hour boat ride across Lake Lucerne to Alpnachstad, followed by a ride up on the Pilatus Railway, the steepest cogwheel railway in the world with a maximum gradient of 48%. After we arrived at the top of Mount Pilatus (6,994 ft.) we spent a while taking in the awesome views of the surrounding mountains, towns and lake. We took a gondola and and cablecar back down the mountain. Mom and Collin were hysterical when the gondola first began to move! I guess they were a bit nervous!
