While it was definitely a neat little town, Venice was probably the biggest tourist trap of the the trip so far. The narrow alleys were absolutely crowded with tourists. I have always wanted to go to Venice but the novelty wore off in about 3 hours after each waterway started looking the same. However, we couldn't go to Venice without riding in a gondola. As we floated under bridges we were the objects in many photographs as fellow tourists snapped pictures of the two American girls passing by. It was probably the closest I will ever be to feeling like a celebrity.
