Hello. 1-2-3. BUNGY!
You may or may not be familiar with that expression but I am. Because I did a BUNGY JUMP!!!!
I done it on the very bridge where it all started, the Kawarau Bridge where AJ Hackett performed the first bungy jump in 1988. I was a bit nervous on the way to the bridge and standing on the edge. I had to look into a camera and point and wave and then I was told to step right on the edge.
Then, 1-2-3. BUNGY!!!
AS SOON as the guy said '3' I jumped 43m and it was exhillarating. I shouted 'NEW ZEALAND' and 'NEW ZEALAND RULES'. Then the bungy cord did its magic and I was dangling until I reached a boat and was hauled in. The Kiwis invented the Bungy Jump, two guys by the names of AJ Hackett and Henry van Asch.
I had the New Zealand Flag I bought with me and paraded it before and after the jump, especially after. I am still quite hyper a few hours later and will continue to be for about a day.
The funny thing was, after the jump the Kiwi Experience bus driver Dyland said: "SURELY YOU ARE A KIWI NOW". I was obviously quite happy after that.
And the day before on the way to Wanaka, my sister said: "I REALISE NOW WHY YOU ARE OBSESSED WITH NEW ZEALAND". I Wanaka I went to a place called Puzzling World which had a Giant Maze where I had to findthe four corners: Blue, Green, Red and Yellow, and get out which I did. It also had the Leaning Tower of Wanaka and a Roman Toilet Room.
I am staying in Queenstown for the next few days until the 11th August where I depart to go to Christchurch. In the meantime I am going to Milford Sound which was described by Rudyard Kipling as: "he Eighth Wonder of the World".
Until Next Time. Bye.
Kiwi Paul
