Hey everyone. We are now in koh samui, it took us so long to get here. First we had to stand on the back of a truck coz there was no room to sit down. Then we got a coach to krabi port and then another coach to surat thani, which took about 3 1/2 hours. Then a ferry which took 1 1/2 hours. And then we had an argument with our receptionist over the phone because we have paid all our transfers but they wouldn't pick us up and so we had to pay for a taxi. Not impressed.
The rest of krabi was good. We paid 200bt to go to a pool on the last day. It was so nice to swim and not get covered in sand or salt. We bumped into a couple of guys that we met on our second night in khao san road and stayed out drinking with them until 3.30am. I have never played so many games of connect 4 or jenga in my life. Hopefully we will meet up with them at the full moon party.
To answer loz's questions. Being on an elephant is not normal height. We had to climb about 12 steps onto a platform, then walk on his neck and sit on a seat that is roped around his stomach. It was very bumpy, but it was amazing. We are eating lots of rice but most restaurants do pizza and pasta if your not in the mood for thai food. In krabi some of the bars did ameretto, which made me feel at home.
Debbie, that is very cute about the badgers thank you for telling me.
Auntie sue, thank you for the news about lucy, i hope she hasn't grown up too much by the next time i see her.
Love to you all xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
